I had planned to send a newsy e-mail early next week (that probably will still happen), but some information we received yesterday needed to be shared immediately: Beckett Expression and Beckett Cambric Linen are being discontinued by the manufacturer. This is sad. Beckett Cambric Linen was one of the first "deep colors" specialty cardstocks that we carried, and years ago our friend Sue Nelson introduced us to super smooth Beckett Expression as a prime choice for use with colored pencils, Copic Markers, fineline stamps, and such. We will be carrying both of these cardstocks as long as we can get them from our suppliers. From what we're hearing, this will probably be a couple of months at most. By fall, there is supposed to be a new "super smooth" cardstock from Mohawk that they claim will be an acceptable substitute. But those of you who loved the old King James Gloss will remember that nothing since has been exactly the same.
