This class is for crafters who are proficient with 3D embossing folders and want to take it to the next level. Participants should be able to perform direct to paper inking. And you must be proficient with the Big Shot. Distress Spritz will be used as a spray as well as a painting medium. You will make 5 card fronts. Two will have card bases. The embossing folders used in the class will be available for class participants to purchase at a 20% discount before class. This is totally optional but these techniques are so beautiful and fun to do, you will want to make more of them at home! And if you have your own folder, you can avoid waiting to share mine. Some techniques require washing off folders between each person.
Student Required Supplies:
Hero Arts White Unicorn Pigment Ink – It should be well inked and not dry
VersaFine Clair Nocturne Pigment Ink – This ink is better if it is more on the dry side so no need to reink.
THE CORRECT INKS MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE WITH THESE TECHNIQUES!
PRIZE RIBBON DISTRESS SPRITZ — Chris will provide her sprays for embossing but you will need your own Prize Ribbon Distress Spritz to match her ink to paint in details.
Basic Stamping Kit, Craft Mat (Ranger preferred), Dome Foams, Heat Gun, Water Bottle, #2 paintbrush, Paper Towels
**Optional: To avoid waiting in line, you may want to bring your own “Book Cover Engravings” folder and 1 Oxide Ink and 1 Tim Holtz Blender with dome foam. Chris will provide Blueprint Sketch as shown in the sample with the Altenew Book Cover Engravings embossing folder. If you have your own folder and your own ink you can save time instead of waiting to use hers. Picked Raspberry Oxide and Peacock Feathers Oxide are also good choices but they must be well inked to perform this technique. Distress inks will not adhere to the embossing folders!
Customer Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made with more than 24 hours advance notice will receive full credit to be used toward another class. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours advance notice will result in no refund. (Please note: Once a customer enrolls in a class, Marco’s begins incurring expenses for class preparation, i.e., materials, instructor planning, etc.)
